Day 19

Saturday, July 13, 2013. This is Alexandra's "28 is the new 18" birthday party day. It was all about preparing for and having the party, which started at 3:00 p.m. I made a sourdough starter on Thursday, and made sourdough bread for the party. Here it is. Everyone loved it, but I felt it was too soft. I like mine more crusty. But it was a success. :)

Alexandra made chocolate, passion fruit, and raspberry lime mousse (mooses :)). She put them in small plastic cups and made five batches total.

The menu is this:
Rice
Lentils
Swiss Chard
Salad
Bread
Grated Carrots
Sliced scallions
And, of course, a lovely cake that Crystal A. won at a cake walk. About 30 people came. We talked, ate, the children played croquet, and some the piano, and most fun of all was dancing to music provided by Micaiah. That was so fun. Here are some photos:

We had water bottles, lemon aid bottles, and raspberry & peach teas.

Sofia made the labels for the bottles. She's so creative!

Sofia loves her Daddy. :)

Xavier playing piano. He doesn't read music, he just plays what his teacher has shown him.

We brought the sofa out and carpet. I loved the look.

What's left of that yummy cake, some mousse, and cherries, Alexandra's favorite fruit.

Friends from Camelot.

Love to dance!

Micaiah providing that fun music. Love to dance!

Crystal & Ethan, Alexandra, and others

Dancing to Cotton Eyed Joe. :) So fun.

Taking down the bunting...soon the lights will be down too.

And, of course, I was dancing, too. And sweating like crazy. It hot and humid. We were all sweating!
