Day 24

Thursday, July 18, 2013. I slept like a log last night and didn't wake up until the alarm went off this morning. And when I walked into work...bam...some stuff went wrong. I refused to make it a bad day, though. Dumb stuff happens at work, and that's just the way it is. So I worked on a single project all day, and it's still not done (scheduling senior SSP - Student Success Plan - meetings for each student individually with his/her counselor). There are 550+ students in this class; that's a lot of appointments to schedule. You have to be careful not to schedule them during the afternoons on half days, etc. I want to get everything scheduled and the letters merged and ready to go so when I get back from Brazil, I can just send them over to the print shop to be printed and mailed.

I didn't take a picture at work again today. I have to remember to do that, and that's all there is to it. I think I'll get Peter to take a photo of me right now (not wearing a dress, though!!!). It was very hot and humid again today. When I went through Jewett City, the sign at the bank said is was 105 degrees Fahrenheit! I wonder if their thermometer was wrong. I kept my window open in my office all morning and it was not excessively hot in my office, but my car was steaming when I went out at lunch time.

The sister missionaries had dinner at our house again tonight because Dianne S. canceled and I didn't want them to be hungry. I made a chicken salad and put together a tossed salad to have with it. I picked up rolls and some yummy pastries for desert from the bakery in Jewett City. After dinner, we went and visited some people. A good night, indeed.

Just to make it not just any old photo, I decided I'd play piano for this photo!
