Monday, July 29, 2013. And ordinary kind of day at work, getting all kinds of things done and feeling productive. Peter came over to have lunch with me. Then I thought it would be great to go over to the Cranston Building so he could see Tom O'R, who used to be Peter's Assistant Principal at Killingly Intermediate School (and he got a couple of detentions in those days!). So we go over to Cranston. The cleaning people were in the process of waxing the floors in the office but never put a sign up. So I went walking around the corner and fell flat...actually not on my face but on my right side. It hurt...my right arm, my hip...oh yeh, it hurt. I wouldn't let Peter lift me off the floor until I had a chance to get myself together and have a little cry. Then he helped me get up. The guy who didn't put up a sign ran and got Leonardo. I told them that I was okay.
So we went to see Tom, who heard me scream out and fall but couldn't check out what was going on because he was on the phone :). He was happy to see Peter and learn about how well he is doing.
The rest of the day was like normal. Melody and Jennifer were out, so it was just Jeanne and me taking care of business.
Just before going to my piano lesson, Jay tells me that he cannot take me to the airport tomorrow because he has stuff to do for work and can't get out of it. I felt dismayed for a moment and then called our friends, Bob and Sharon. They weren't there, so I had to leave a voice message. They called later and said that they would take us. I was happy about that :). My piano lesson was fun. Steve brought his guitar in and he played some chord stuff and I played (improvised) a melody above it. I wasn't as good as I would have liked to be, but it was lots of fun.
