Day 8 Already?

Tuesday, July 2, 2013: An ordinary day at work, and extraordinary day at the chiropractor (hehe)! He cracked my toes, can you believe it? I hate cracking knuckles.

This bugs me: My doctor told me to take an aspirin a day for reduce the risk of blood clots, so I did that. Then my toe started hurting. It tried to ignore it for a month, but then my hip and thigh on my other leg started hurting. Why was this happening? One ailment causes another. Normally, I'm the epitome of good health...no, GREAT health! When I went to Dr. Colsen yesterday, he told me that aspirin is the second biggest cause of gout (I think I mentioned that yesterday). He said, "Don't stop taking the aspirin. There is medication that can counteract that."

Well, if you ask me, I don't like that option. You take one thing that causes a side effect that you have to take another thing for...that's just terrible. I don't like that. I'll know on Friday if my blood work shows that I have gout. If I do, I will call my physician and tell her that I'm quitting the aspirin. I'm going to check out homeopathic stuff...any ideas?

Anyway, at work I finished entering all the tags for the underclassmen and am gearing up for the big transcript sending project.  Here are two pictures from work...first me with Kristie (Library Director) outside of Allis House and then with Leo (Director of Diversity) in my office.

As I look at this photo with Leo, I can tell that I have that fake elbow (actually radial head). My arm just doesn't straighten out completely.
