Day 33

Saturday, July 27, 2013: Got up this morning at 4:00. I will call this the day of many outfit changes. I showered and dressed for the temple (in a dress, of course). It is our day to work at the Boston Temple. Peter, Jay, and I left the house at 5:15 and got to the temple around 6:15. We watched the sunrise as we were driving east on the Mass Pike, and I couldn't resist taking some photos. And here they are:

The Boston Temple in the early morning.

We left the temple earlier than usual (11:00) so we could get home in time to go to our new ward picnic at Pulaski State Park. We stopped at WalMart to get a few things, got home and did change number 2: jeans. We went to the picnic and had a very nice time.  I had a hamburger and a little bit of cole slaw and some kind of potato salad. I had a wonderful conversation with a member who went to the big Gettysburg 150th re-enactment. He does the cooking. They were part of the Rhode Island group. They did everything super authenically. This is his last year doing it.

We had to stop at the Hallmark store and Crabtree & Evelyn Store to get a few things before heading home and for change number 3.

But here's a cool thing. Someone in Putnam made this giant "paper airplane" out of metal and stuck it in a tree on the side of the road. It's so awesome and Jay was so kind as to stop the car so I could get out and take a photo. Here it is!

Isn't this just the neatest thing? I love it!

Got home and changed into a skirt and top to go to Nate & Leslie's wedding reception (they were married out west a month or so ago, and this is their East Coast reception). We had a great time and I took a couple of photos:

Nate and his lovely bride, Leslie...or maybe it's another L name that's spelled like Leslie but it's not...

Bob L. (Nate's dad) and Ja talking...they're good friends.
The food was really good...all hours-dourves. Something I ate gave me a reaction...my throat felt tight and my tongue tingly...not a good thing. The moral? Don't eat anything that's mixed with stuff that you don't know what it is. The reception was at the fire house, and Bob took us out to see their truck bay...very nice. This little thing was out there, and I couldn't resist taking a photo:

Funny.....
We left the reception and headed home to change number 4, jeans again and off we went to Dayville...Jay to get gas and me to stop at the Dollar Store for containers and Aldi's for milk. Then home....and guess what: change number 5...my pink cotton dress...my comfy hang-around-the-house dress. I baked some bread for Jay (no eggs, no yeast, no gluten). It looks good. We'll try it tomorrow. I hope it tastes good that that Jay likes it. I also did a loud of wash and am watching a little TV. Jay has now disappeared. I wonder where he went. Oh, I found him. It's bedtime! Byeeee!

Oh, one more thing: the weather today was perfect! Clear, not hot, and now it's perfect sleeping weather.
